For reference, here are the details from 2022:
Results were distributed to school candidates at their respective primary schools starting at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022. Parents or guardians had the option to accompany their child to collect the results. Specific collection arrangements were shared by the schools. Candidates who were unwell or in self-isolation due to a positive COVID-19 test could access their results online via the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board’s (SEAB) Candidates Portal from 11:45 AM on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022, until 11:59 PM on Tuesday, 6th December 2022. School candidates received their user accounts for the SEAB’s Candidates Portal through their schools from Tuesday, 15th November 2022. For those unable to collect their results in person or appoint a proxy, assistance could be sought from their school. Submission of Secondary 1 OptionsFollowing the release of PSLE results, eligible students will receive the S1 Option Form, which allows them to select their preferred secondary schools. Here’s what you need to know:
The S1 Option Form includes crucial information about the submission of school choices. Each student will find a unique S1 Personal Identification Number (S1 PIN) in the top-right corner of the S1 Option Form. Students should use the S1 PIN to log in to the Secondary 1 Internet System (S1-IS) and submit their school choices and options online. The S1-IS will be accessible from 11:30 AM on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022, until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, 29th November 2022, via MOE’s S1 Posting website. It is advisable for students, in consultation with their parents, to plan their school choices and complete the S1 Option Form before submitting their choices online. This ensures a smoother submission process. Parents needing assistance with online submissions can contact the student’s primary school before 3:00 PM on Tuesday, 29th November 2022. Release of Secondary 1 Posting ResultsThe eagerly awaited Secondary 1 posting results will be available on Wednesday, 21st December 2022. Here’s how you can access them:
Via Short Message Service (SMS) if you provided a local mobile number during the application process. By accessing the S1-IS using your student’s Birth Certificate number or FIN, along with the S1 PIN. At your student’s primary school.Importantly, students do not need to report to their posted secondary schools upon receiving their S1 posting results. Instead, they should refer to their posted schools’ websites for information on reporting details, booklists, and the purchase of books and uniforms.
Parents of incoming S1 students who use Parents Gateway (PG) will also receive instructions from their posted schools.
If students are unable to report to their assigned secondary school on the first day of school (Tuesday, 3rd January 2023) due to valid reasons, they should inform their assigned secondary school directly to confirm their acceptance, and the school will reserve their place.
For additional information regarding S1 Posting and S1-IS, please visit MOE’s S1 Posting website. School candidates viewing their results online can still contact their schools and teachers for consultation on their next steps.
Stay informed and prepared for the exciting journey ahead in Secondary One!
