The Chinese New Year festivities are just around the corner and we know you’re wondering what supermarkets will continue to operate in Singapore. Those who need to catch up on their shopping won’t have to worry this year for there will be many outlets open for your last-minute grocery runs.
To help you navigate which supermarkets in Singapore near you are open during this festive season, we’ve listed down each of the supermarket chains that will remain operational during the holidays.

These 24-hour Cold Storage outlets will remain open:
Cluny Court Holland Village Jelita Nex Rail Mall Siglap VillageMeanwhile, the rest of the outlets will close at 9pm the day before Chinese New Year.
On the first two days of Chinese New Year, only its Takashimaya outlet will be closed. The other outlets were reported to remain open.

Giant Outlets Open For Chinese New Year 2022Giant is also here to cater to your festive shopping needs as they will be extending operating hours during Chinese New Year.
All their outlets will be operating on a 24-hour basis throughout the holiday period—except for the following stores which will be open on specific hours:
IMM Nanyang Technological University Paya Lebar Square Sembawang Shopping Centre Suntec CityIt was also noted that all their supermarkets in Singapore will be open on the eve of Chinese New Year and the first three days of the holidays.

Fairprice will have stores open for Chinese New Year. On the first day, which falls on 1 February, a total of 133 outlets will be open.
Out of the 133 stores, 40 of them will be operating at their usual 24 hours while 91 outlets close at 5 pm. Meanwhile, the FairPrice at Jewel will close at 11 pm and the store at Balmoral Plaza will close at 10 pm.
On Chinese New Year Eve on 31 January, Fairprice on Wheels will only operate until 2 pm. On the same day, 117 FairPrice stores will stay open till 5pm. Thirty-three more stores will remain operational for 24 hours.

Sheng Siong Outlets Open For Chinese New Year 2022Sheng Siong joins the list of the many supermarkets you can make your last-minute Chinese New Year shopping in Singapore.
On the day before the Lunar New Year, all their outlets will close at 4pm. Then on days 1 and 2 February, twenty-six of their outlets will be open from 8 am to 6 pm.

Sheng Siong notes that normal operations will resume from the third day of Chinese New Year, 3 February.
